Don’t know what to bring to another appetizer party!?
Don’t worry, I got ya covered.
These babies are creamy, spicy, sweet, and crunchy. What else could you want!? Nothing. Perfect.
Oh and did I mention they require only four ingredients?! And you can prep them ahead of time, and then pop them in the oven when you’re ready to eat/sip/snack/socialize. All those appetizer occasion things.
These aren’t vegan, but if you wanted to make them vegan, you could sub vegan cream cheese for the goat cheese and they’d probably be pretty damn tasty as well. I’m not 100% vegan at all, but I do try to eat as little animal as possible, because sometimes it feels like our world is crumbling and I have no idea what to do about it! For example, the most idiotic bigot may become the next U.S. president. I don’t know how to stop that; it’s mind boggling. But one thing I can do for the world all on my lonesome is eat less animal. Cows, especially, have a really negative impact on the planet when it comes to greenhouse gasses. You don’t need to go 100% vegan to make an impact, just eat less animal, in whatever way works for you! And then, that’s awesome! Yay! We’re all doing something!
Not sure how jalapeño poppers turned political but if school taught me anything it’s that the personal IS the political. And I take these Grown-Up Jalapeño Poppers very personally. (Relax, I’m kidding).
Anyways, other than peppers being high in vitamin C, melty honeyed goat cheese being heavenly, and crunchy toasted almonds being all sweet and savoury, all I have to say is, these are worth the 10 minutes of prep! Hah! Easiest (homemade) appetizer ever!
Try them out for your next date night/girls night/margarita night (my fav)/taco night/game night/cards night. Also good during the day, in case that’s not clear.
Let me know how they turn out! Thanks for reading!
